Dalhousie Agricultural Campus

Prior to Dalhousie University acquiring the Agricultural College in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia, Fowler Construction Services completed many projects on the ever-growing campus over the years. After the merger, Fowler Construction Services took on a number of renovation jobs, including a multi-million dollar ventilation renovation of the Haley Building, a kitchen renovation inside the Jenkins Building, and updates to both the MacRae Library and Banting Building. Most recently, Fowler Construction Services completed the construction of a new state of the art greenhouse, further cementing their position as a innovative and expertly-skilled construction company.

Blaikie’s Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ltd.

As a staple automobile dealership in central Nova Scotia for more than 80 years, Blaikies Dodge Chrysler Jeep Limited was in need of a face-lift. Fowler Construction Services stepped in to provide the local business with a brand new show room as well as updates to the pre-existing building facade.

Ships Company Theatre

After more than 20 years of staging world-class theatre performances onboard a restored 1920’s steel ferry vessel, Ship’s Company Theatre in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, decided they needed a more permanent space for their unique performance venue. Alongside the skilled team at MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple Architects Limited, Fowler Construction Services was able to build what is now one of Atlantic Canada’s most renown cultural centres, providing visitors with a theatre experience like no other.

Old Barns United Church

As one of the main focal points in the small bay-side community of Old Barns, Nova Scotia, the Old Barns United Church has been around as long as anyone can remember. When it came time for the iconic steeple to undergo renovations, the church turned to Fowler Construction Services for their skilled craftsmanship and careful attention to detail.

Truro Cougar Dome

The idea for the Cougar Dome grew from the need for an indoor athletic facility in the Truro area that could be enjoyed by everyone year round. Enter Fowler Construction Services. What was born was a 50,000 sq. ft. space which includes six tennis courts, a three-lane synthetic running track, 16,000 sq. ft. of artificial turf, track and field jumping pits and a 12-bay golf range. The facility is also home to Atlantic Canada’s first Subway Café, and a clubhouse with locker rooms, offices and rentable party space. A true one of a kind space.

Dr. W.A. MacLeod Elementary School

Major renovation projects present their own unique challenges. Tying new construction into an existing building is no easy feat. When the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board needed to renovate the pre-existing Dr. W.A. MacLeod Elementary School in Riverton, Nova Scotia, they brought their challenges to Fowler Construction Services. With classes still in session, Fowler Construction Services had to come up with a build schedule that would allow for minimal disruption to students.

Willow Lodge

In desperate need of more space, Willow Lodge, a long-term care facility in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia, acquired the help of Fowler Construction Services to construct a new entrance, administrative space and state of the art patient living facilities. Fowler Construction Services battled winter temperatures in order to get the job done both on budget and on time.

Johnny’s Motor Hub

Designed with a nostalgic 1950’s feel in mind, Johnny’s Motor Hub is a 3,000 sq. ft. design/build construction project located just outside of Truro, Nova Scotia. Having already created a long-lasting relationship with the owners of Johnny’s, there was no question as to who would be the right fit for this project.

East Cumberland Lodge

When the owners and operators of East Cumberland Lodge, a North Shore long-term care facility decided that their current facilities were no longer adequate to provide the type of care patients desired, they contracted Fowler Construction Services to deliver an improved 74-bed facility and outdoor patio area.
